Married vs. Single
April 26th, 2005 by Becky HawkMy best friend just got married and it seems as though now, when we get together she is either bitter or just plain snubbing me. This brings up the whole long standing rivalry between married women and single women. I mean they hate us for a few reasons it seems:
#1. They think we are going to sleep with their husbands (ok please you should see this guy he is a BLOB!)
#2. They no longer are able to go out bar hopping (unless they married an actual ‘man’ who is comfortable and trusts his wife)
#3. They cannot be selfish, and if they are they are chastised.
These are all based off of the fact that most of the women I know that are married seem to have married the worst kind of guys. I mean they never get let out of the house and their style goes out the window because that shirt costs too much, or shows too much tit. Now I will say I know not all men are like this but seriously what kind of hope is this supposed to give me????
For myself, as a single gal, my main annoyance with married women is how they seem to forget what it was like. I mean you get these looks like, oh poor you alone at the movies. I just want to stand up and yell, ’seriously I am comfortable with going to a movie by myself, do you have a problem with that?’ Again I may be generalizing, because not all women pre vow were too scared to go out by them self’s.
