A decade ago, the Today Sponge was removed from the market. On the Seinfeld episode, Elaine buys the birth-control product by the box loads.
Even though she’s horded several polyurethane sponges, Elaine subjects her male contenders to a rigorous interview process.
Flash forward to – today, the Sponge is making a comeback. Despite its removal from store shelves, it was deemed safe and effective by the FDA. Canada kept selling the favorite nonprescription contraceptive.
As single women, we must employ the same selective gatekeeper methodologies. It goes well beyond being able to purchase the contraceptive of one’s choice.
