Being single has its downfalls. Some people don’t do well alone and find themselves lost in life. Some endlessly search for “the one”, but with each relationship, something goes haywire. They break up and then find themselves back to square one.

One thing that can be said about being single, you avoid a lot of relationship disasters. By not being in a relationship, you don’t have to worry about someone turning into a nightmare - the same person you “thought” was a dream come true. You don’t have to worry about someone trying to change or control you.

Being single means you own your choices and the path you choose to take in life. No one is there to put an obstacle in your way. So many relationships crumble and if you aren’t in one, the failure rate is zero.

Being single isn’t always easy and for some it’s very frustrating, but there are good aspects. If we embrace the good aspects while we are single and not dwell on the negatives, it might allow a breather in order to replenish and be better prepared when someone does come along.
