Have you ever dated someone and heard all the right words, but something felt off? I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “actions speak louder than words”. I believe this to be true and the saying can be a good barometer to see how genuine someone is.

When someone says they care, they should show it, not just say it. Have you ever had a very stressful day or maybe had something more extreme happen and you find yourself lacking support from the person you are dating? Your words fall upon deaf ears and you find yourself in need of going elsewhere for someone to listen and support you.

Maybe you are left feeling empty and confused as to how this person can say such beautiful and seemingly caring words, yet doesn’t seem to give much in actions. This is a red flag.

If you get seriously involved with someone who doesn’t back up their words with actions, you’ll eventually become resentful and feel a void. You’ll wonder if they’ve ever cared at all. Words are easy to say and can be used very loosely and without much meaning. Consistent actions tell the real story.
