Just Like The Old Times

June 22nd, 2008 by Ronalyn Edillor

Whenever I go out with friends, we don’t do the bar-hopping thing that we used to do a few years ago. I think the reason is because we matured a lot through the years and we don’t get to see each other very often so we are content with having dinner and coffee afterwards. It’s like we cherish quiet moments and a place where we can share stories and updates on each other’s lives. Unlike in bars where you have to shout just to understand each other.

We usually choose a nice restaurant or try a new one that has good reviews. Sometimes we choose a restaurant-bar which has a live band entertaining guests. This is also good because while eating, we get to listen to good music and can even request for our favorites for the band to sing.

After dinner, we just head to our favorite coffee shop and I order my favorite frappuccino. My girl friends and I are so close and we make it a point to bond once in a while. Now, all of us are committed but we promised each other that we’ll take a breather from our busy lives to just catch up like old times. One is lucky to have a best friend. Not me for I have a lot of them.
