Attract Men Without Killing Yourself

June 27th, 2008 by Florante Mangampo

One of the biggest mistakes you can make when you want to meet a great guy, or– better yet — keep a great guy is to work too hard.
Working too hard makes you unattractive to good men and makes you oh, so attractive to the bad ones. You know who I’m talking about: Guys who make out with you, and then tell you they’re not ready for a relationship. Guys who don’t call when they say they will. Guys who lie. Guys who cheat. And so on.

What are some signs you’re working too hard?

1) When you go out with friends, your eyes are all over the place in search of available men. You fix your hair in decorative mirrors at restaurants and bars.

Women who are successful in love do not do this. Instead, they focus on the people they came in with (this is very attractive to good men, by the way; they do notice). Such women assume they look just fine and limit mirror checks to restroom visits.

2) You lie awake at night analyzing a man’s words vs. his actions. Smart women don’t do this. If a man’s words don’t match his actions, they forget about him until they do.

3) You do all the communicating in the relationship. You try to get him to “open up.” You study magazine articles that claim to teach you how to “crack his code.” Smart women know that it’s not their job to figure out a man’s feelings. It’s his job to communicate them.

4) You spend time at work worrying if he’ll call, why he hasn’t called, the real meaning of his most recent text. Women who are successful in love (and in life) do not let a relationship jeopardize their jobs or throw them off their game. They figure if the man is meant to call, he’ll call. In the meantime, they forget about him.

5) You dress up too much for casual activities. If everyone else at the barbecue is wearing a sun visor, and you’re wearing heels and a tight dress, you may look great, but you’re working too hard.

If you’re working too hard, stop. You’ll soon find you have everything it takes to attract a happy, stable relationship with a man who loves, values you, and thrills you down to your toes.
