You Should Have a Quiet Time

I hate numbers but I want you to count as you answer the following questions:

How many hours in a day do you spend talking to people at work and at home?

How many hours in a day do you spend listening to music, watching movies, chatting online and other things that require more of your attention?

Add those hours now and let me know how much you spend your time with other people each day. Was it too much or just enough?

Even if you wanted to be out there and socialize, it will be best for you to have a quiet time.

Yes, singles should also allot quiet moments for a lot of reasons. Keep on reading as I share some of it below:

You should have a quiet time to bring back your focus.

Most of the time we are tied to do a lot of things. There are times that even when you follow your to-do list religiously, you still find yourself unproductive in the process. There are still things that you feel you should have accomplished. Think about those and your quiet time will help you remember what still needs to be done.

You should have a quiet time to appreciate all that is good.

It may sound like a cliche, but why not take time to stop and smell the roses? This quiet time will help you count all the blessings that you have and the good things that came your way. Aside from that then we can go ahead and invite positive things to happen while we have that quiet time to visualize these things.

You should have a quiet time to plan your next ‘moves’.

Why not start to map your goals while you are enjoying your quiet time? Then you can figure out some specific action steps on how you can meet each goals. Your relaxed mind will take advantage of the situation as you think of more productive ways to hit your target goals.

There you go, again I mentioned simple reasons that you should take some time out and just relax. Singles need some quiet time, not to slack but to be a more productive person in the process.
