Online Dating: Ask The Right Questions

Tags: , , , ,

You probably are aware how internet dating sites can be of benefit to some people. But, are you getting any responses from those that you would like to meet online? Do they seem to disappear once you’ve made contact? Has this become a pattern? You may need to think about how you approach those you are interested in and make some changes.

If you get responses from those you are interested in, that definitely is a good thing. But, if not, you have to think why? Remember, the people you meet may be single, but they all have a different purpose as to what they are seeking on a dating site.

You may be wanting a serious relationship while someone else may simply want someone to hang out with. You have to respect what they are seeking even if it doesn’t line up with what you are seeking. You have to be realistic to not only what you want, but what other people are wanting as well. Being aware of this can help you weed out those you aren’t compatible with and you’ll know better what type of questions to ask to get to know them.

You may find people online who are playing games. Some are very nice and genuine people. If you’d really like to get in touch with the right person, then analyze each prospect’s profile first. Then, ask relevant questions that will show them you were interested enough to actually read their profile and are interested in getting to know them better.

Never be aggressive with your questions early on. That can scare many prospects away. Start with the basics like what’s your favorite sport, movie or other interests. Never ask personal questions about finances or otherwise and one thing that especially drives women away is asking sexual questions.

Asking the right questions can make a difference. It shows how genuinely interested you are and what you have in mind for being on the dating site to begin with.
