There are a lot of people who are in rat race. It’s a race to have the best job, the best house, the best car, the best life and yes to have the best relationship. We are so busy rushing around like chicken with our heads cut off that we do not realize that this is the biggest problem in relationships. We want it all and we want it now, so much so that we get into things without knowing the true consequences.
My solution for this problem is, at least for now, to be purposely single. This means that I am not “out looking for love” or better yet looking for leads. I believe that by doing this I will see any problems from miles away, that way they won’t show up knocking at my door or knocking it down. Instead I’ll think out each opportunity thoroughly before getting into something and safe myself a lot of grief.
Being purposely single might not seem like the most fun dating option, but as far as I can see it’s the only smart one. Others will be in meaningless relationships wondering aloud “Why doesn’t this love thing ever work out for me?” Mean while I will take my time and find the right one in my own time and on my own terms. That is satisfaction guaranteed.
